Where is packet pick-up?

Packet pick-up will be held at KC Running Company @200 E 135th St, Kansas City, MO 64145 on Friday 6.07.2024 from 12:00pm - 5:30pm. If you cannot make it to the scheduled packet pick-up we will have packets available at race time. However, please note that the race will start at the scheduled time regardless of lines and packets.

What about the kids?

Children 8 and under run for FREE, that's right...FREE! Please make sure they sign up HERE so we can track their times. If they would like a T-Shirt the registration is $10.

Are strollers and/or pets allowed?

Yes, strollers are allowed. We simply ask you to be courteous to other runners and ask that you gather at the back of the of the group runners at race time. Pets. However, are NOT allowed per official race rules.

Are headphones allowed?

Yes, we ask that you are aware of and courteous to other runners and keep your headphone volume at a level that you can hear others.

Is this an officially timed 5K?

Yes, you will receive your chip timer in your packet and official results will be recorded through the KC Running Company and will be available after the race. Results will also be posted on our website shortly after the conclusion of the race.

Will there be aid stations?

Yes, there will be an aid station mid way through the course. There will also be water/snacks at the end of the race courtesy of several donors.

Where can I park?

Parking will be available at the REI parking lot, with additional parking available around Prairiefire if the REI lot is Full.

What if it is raining or there is inclement weather?

With the help of Fox 4's Karli Ritter we will be ahead of the curve in knowing the conditions. That being said, the race will be held rain or shine!

Will there be prizes?

Yes, there will be plaques given to the overall male/female finishers and the overall masters male/female finishers.

All participants will receive a Heroes for Hospice 5K running shirt.
